Configure a timeseries or scalar target (v2)

Timeseries targets are allocated across monthly or quarterly periods, such as a booking quota that resets each quarter. Scalar targets are not time-bound and represent a single value, such as a 4x pipeline coverage goal that must always be maintained.

Configure a timeseries target

Configure a timeseries target that you can distribute down to child nodes or roll up to parent nodes.

  1. Go to the appropriate module (Territories | Teams | Product) > Manage Targets.

  2. Click Actions > Edit target details.

  3. On the Edit Target screen complete the following sections:

    Goal

    1. Drag and drop metrics or add formula equations into the equation field to set your target goal.

    Schedule (optional)

    1. Click Add Schedule and select a template.

    2. Adjust the template amounts as needed.

    Adjustments (optional)

    1. Click Add Adjustment.

    2. Select Ramp Profile or Manual Adjustment.

    3. Adjust the currency or percentage amount for each month.

    4. Repeat to add as many adjustments as needed.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Optional. Add target relief.

  6. Optional. Recalculate and distribute a top down target or roll up a bottom up target.

Configure a scalar target

Configure a scalar target that you can distribute down to child nodes or roll up to parent nodes.

  1. Go to the appropriate module (Territories | Teams | Product) > Manage Targets.

  2. From the Node menu, select the target

  3. Click Actions > Edit target details.

  4. On the Edit Target screen in the Goal section, drag and drop metrics and add formula equations into the equation field to set your target goal.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Optional. Add target relief.

  7. Optional. Recalculate and distribute a top down target or roll up a bottom up target.
