A ramp reduces an individual's target during their ramp-up period — for example, the first few months after a new hire's start date — based on a ramp profile and the individual's coverage start date. A ramp layers on top of the target's schedule rather than replacing it.
Before you begin
Create a target and, if it's a timeseries target, optionally apply a schedule.
Ramp profiles require an applicable territory coverage assignment.
Apply a ramp
Go to the appropriate module (Territories | Teams | Product) > Manage Targets.
Click Actions > Edit target details.
In the Adjustments section, click Add Adjustment.
Select Ramp Profile.
Choose the ramp profile to apply.
Adjust the currency or percentage amount for each month, if needed — otherwise the profile's default percentages apply.
Click Save.
About ramp profiles
Ramp profiles can be prorated based on the number of days an individual actually worked in a month, rather than treating every month as a full month. This keeps ramp timing accurate when someone starts or transfers mid-month.
Note
When a target has multiple assigned roles, the order the roles are added prioritizes that role's ramp profile for the target. See Create a target.
