Use Smart Map to automatically generate a specified number of territories, balanced based on your criteria.
In the Manage segments window, select Smart Map.

Complete each section:
Basic Config
In the Number of territories to build field, type the number of territories you want to create.
Optional. In the Max number of accounts per territory field, type a maximum number of accounts each territory can be assigned.
Prioritized Balancing Criteria
Customize Build Contiguous Segments criteria (defines criteria for territories that share borders):
From the country dropdown, select a country you want to filter by.
From the map zoom level dropdown, select the level based on the country.
Optional. Click Create Criteria and use the filter builder to add conditions that filters the criteria included in the territory balancing.
Optional. Click Add Criteria and select and customize Balance by metrics:
From the Select Metric dropdown, select a metric on which to balance these territories (for example, number of accounts, total revenue).
Note
You can add as many balance by metrics criteria to define how the territories are balanced.
Optional. If you have more than one criteria, click and drag the criteria in the order you want them prioritized.
Treatment of Named Accounts and Named Exceptions
From the Consider named accounts in SmartPlan maximum no of accounts section, select one of the following:

Description
Yes, factor Named Accounts in the overall territory balance
Includes Named Accounts in the territory balancing.
No, do not factor Named Accounts in the overall territory balance
Excluded Named Accounts from the territory balancing.
Treatment of Account Families
From the Consider child accounts in SmartPlan maximum no of accounts section, select one of the following:

Description
Yes, factor child accounts in the overall territory balance
Includes child accounts in the territory balancing.
No, do not factor child accounts in the overall territory balance
Excluded child accounts from the territory balancing.
Click Confirm.
Manually add or remove geographic areas to customize the territories, if needed.
