Role permissions

Prev Next

Role permissions control what a person can see and do in each Fullcast module, based on the role(s) they are assigned to in territory, team, or product coverage. Configure role permissions in the Permission section when you create or edit a role. To access role permissions, navigate to Roles > Manage Roles > Permissions.

How role permissions fit with user permissions

Fullcast has two layers of permissions:

  • System permission type (Role Based Access User, Tenant Admin, Sys Admin, or Reporting)—the broad category of access assigned to a user's account. Refer to Get started with user permission types.

  • Role permissions (this article)—the specific, per-module access a user gets once they are assigned a role in coverage. These access types are what actually determine what a Role Based Access User can see and edit in each module.

Note

Sys Admin and Reporting users can also be layered with role-based access. When that happens, role permissions apply to that part of their access as well.

Access types

Each module in a role's Permission section can be configured with one of the following access types:

  • Read Only—User can only view information and cannot make changes.

  • Read Write—User can view information and make changes.

  • Read Write (Only Tenant Administrator)—Only users designated as tenant administrators can view and make changes. You cannot change this access type.

  • Denied—User cannot access the information and it is hidden.

  • True—User has access to perform the specified action.

  • False—User does not have access to perform the specified action.
