Multiple plans

Create and manage multiple plans to strategize your GTM strategy. Modify targets based on capacity and reallocate territories to accommodate organizational changes, such as personnel turnover or relocations. Prepare for the future by aligning their go-to-market strategy, teams, segment definitions, and product management to meet the company’s fiscal needs.

However, multiple plans means excess data that may not be relevant to specific subsets of information. For example, when you create overlay plans like the CS plan or partner and channel plans, you may only require customer accounts or partner accounts, respectively. Similarly, if you create an organization for CS, only CS personnel data may be needed rather than the entire organization’s data. This surplus data can significantly impact performance, rerun rules, and reporting.

To mitigate this, set filters to specify which records you want to include in your plan. When you modify plan filters, a confirmation window displays with the number of records affected by the filters.

Export plans

The export option transfers all plan data, such as hierarchy, assignments, targets, reports, dashboards, and scenarios to the CRM. The export job also cleanups up data in the CRM such as inactive assignments and members. Updates to the plan trigger exports on the next scheduled job.

Note

Exports are typically scheduled daily. Enable export on a plan to add it to the next scheduled export job.

While export jobs transfer all data, import filters restrict what is brought into the system. There are also limitations on exporting the same role from multiple plans. Roles associated with assignments must be enabled for export. A role can only be exported from one plan to avoid conflicts. If a role is not exported, its associated assignments won’t be exported.

Auto rerun rules

Auto rerun rules are available for accounts, people, and products in the plan. Auto rerun rules run each time the import job runs. Customize criteria or specify fields to rerun rules only when that criteria is met and those fields are updated, for example, if you configure the rerun for when the country field is updated and the account is in an unassigned territory or transitions to being a customer in the SMB segment, the rules will rerun on the account.

Note

If no fields are enabled for updates, then any changes on the record would be considered as a trigger for rerun.

Plan-level data filters

Data filters exist at both the tenant and plan levels. Plan-level data filters are applied after the tenant filters are applied.
