When you are ready to assign a new hire to a territory or team where you have a TBH placeholder, you need to use the “Confirm New Hire” workflow. It is best practice to use this workflow rather than deleting the TBH and creating a new assignment. This is especially important if you are using the Scenarios module for capacity planning.
This video outlines the steps involved in running the Confirm New Hire workflow after creating a TBH (To Be Hired) placeholder.
Run the Confirm New Hire Workflow:
Select the "Confirm New Hire" Workflow: After creating a TBH, locate the assignment card, and click the three-dot menu to select the "Confirm New Hire" workflow.
Choose the New Hire: Select the employee who will be filling the position.
Set the Effective Date: Choose the employee's start date.
Select the Ramp Profile: Carefully select the appropriate ramp profile for the new hire's onboarding.
Review Changes: After running the workflow:
The original TBH will become an inactive assignment.
A new active assignment will be created for the new hire with the selected start date.
The TBH will be marked as "crossed out" in the Teams section, indicating that it is inactive.
Deleting Inactive TBHs:
While inactive TBHs do not cause problems, you can delete them if desired
From the territory coverage tab, locate the TBH assignment card, click the three-dot menu and select Delete.
From the Teams employees tab, locate the TBH placeholder in the table, click the box on the left side of the row, and select Delete TBx placeholder.
