Top down targets break down targets from higher-level nodes and distributes to lower-level nodes in the organizational hierarchy, such as annual revenue goals distributed from the company level down to individual territories or sales reps.
Go to the appropriate module (Territories, Teams, or Product) > Manage Targets.
Note
Select team, territory, or product based on the go-to-market plan type you want the target on.
Click New > Top Down Target.
In the Name field, type a unique name for your target.
Optional. In the Category dropdown, select one or more categories organize your targets.
Optional. In the Description field, type a description for the target.
In the Target Options section, complete the following fields:

Select one of the following:

Metric
Select a metric you want to measure the target against.
Assigned Roles
Select one of more roles to assign the target to. The order the roles are added sets the precedence for the target.
Time Frame
Select the fiscal year or a custom time frame for the target.
Start Date
Automatically populates based on what you select for the Time Frame.
End Date
Automatically populates based on what you select for the Time Frame.
Click Save & Continue.
