Simulate an export job

The simulate export job generates .csv files that provide details of the record changes in the live export that is pushed from Fullcast to Salesforce. Review the .csv  to help with UAT, plan an initial go live, or prepare for cutovers between plans.

Before you begin

  • Access to the Fullcast with permissions to run jobs.

  • A set of planned changes (territory realignments, team updates) ready for export.

  • Familiarity with spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) to review the output files.

Run the simulate export job

  1. Go to Settings > Jobs > Job Status.

  2. Click Import / Export.

  3. In the Choose job options window, complete the following fields:

    1. Migrate Options: Select Migrate All.

    2. Import / Export: Select Export.

    3. Job Package: From the dropdown, select Simulate Standard Export.

  4. Click Confirm.

    Note

    The job continues to run in the background if you close the screen. The amount of time to export varies depending on the amount of data.

Download the files

Once the simulate standard export job displays a status of Completed, download and view the details of each data object of the export in a .csv file.

  1. Go to  Settings > Jobs > Job Status.

  2. Find the Simulate Standard Export package with a Completed status.

    Note

    The job must complete before you can access the files.

  3. Click View.

    1. In the Job Information window, click download for each data object of the export and save the .csv files to your device.

Review the files

The job produces 15 files that correspond to the stages of the export job. Each file contains the relevant record IDs and pertinent field values on the records. Refer to the following stages and a description of the .csv files available for each stage.

Cleanup_Salesforce_1

  • DeleteAccountTeamUpdate.csv:  manage

  • Delete_GTMs_TerritoryMembers.csv: GTM and Territory Member records that will be deleted.  

  • Delete_Members_Above100K.csv: All the GTM records that will be deleted in the next export. If a GTM record has more than 100k associated Territory Member records, the Territory Members are deleted first and then GTM records in the next export job.

Cleanup_Salesforce_2

  • Delete_Product_Members.csv: Product Member records that will be deleted.

  • DeleteFilterAccountTeamMember.csv: Account Team Member records that will be deleted due to the associated account being filtered out of the Fullcast plan or tenant.

  • Delete_TeamMember_SF.csv: Team Member records that will be deleted.

  • Delete_TerritoryMember_Filtered.csv: Territory members associated with filtered out accounts for account data filter that has been added or changed.

  • Delete_AccountTeamMember.csv: Account team members that will be deleted due to a territory coverage assignment becoming inactive or a territory being deleted, etc.

  • Delete_TerritoryMember_SF.csv: A territory member record that will be deleted when an account is deleted or merged.

GTM_Industry_Update

  • Save_GTM_SF.csv: GTM records that will be created or updated.

  • Industry_Taxonomy.csv: Industry Taxonomy records that will be created or updated.

GTM_Member_Update

  • Team_Member.csv: Team member records that will be created or updated.

  • Product_Member.csv: Product member records that will be created or updated.

  • Segment_Member.csv: Segment (territory) member records that will be created or updated.

Account_Team_Update

  • Account_Team_Member.csv: Account team member records that will be created or updated.
