Apply a schedule

A schedule allocates a timeseries target's total value across the months in its time frame, using a chosen distribution pattern instead of leaving the total undistributed. Scalar targets don't support schedules — this option is only available on timeseries targets.

Before you begin

• Create a timeseries target.

• Optional: create a reusable schedule profile.

Steps to apply a schedule

Note

Applying a schedule changes how the total is distributed across periods — it doesn't change the target's total value. To change the total, edit the target's goal.

1. Go to the appropriate module (Territories | Teams | Product) > Manage Targets.

2. Click Actions > Edit target details.

3. Select the node(s) to apply the schedule.

4. If you select multiple nodes, toggle on the Schedule section to enable you to make changes.

   

5. In the Schedule section, click Add Schedule.

6. Select the schedule type. The options are:

   • Metric-Based: Uses a metric's seasonality.

     

   • Even: Allocates the value evenly across the time increments.

     

   • Manual: You manually input monthly values or percentages. The total percentage must be 100%.

     

   • Schedule Templates: Use a custom schedule template you've built.

     

7. Edit any individual values by clicking in the box and typing a value.

8. Click Save.
