Add CC recipients to a document

CC recipients receive a copy of the document at the same time it is sent to the signing recipient. They are not asked to sign or approve — they receive the document for visibility only. As each approver signs, CC recipients will receive an email confirmation and copy of the signed document. You can add up to five CC recipients per document.

Add CC recipients

  1. Go to Documents > Document Management.

  2. Select the document group that contains the document.

  3. In the Documents panel, find the document and click the menu ⋮ > Document Details.

  4. In the CC Recipients section, click Add CC Recipient.

  5. In the dropdown, search any of the fields, or scroll to find recipients.

  6. Repeat to add additional CC recipients, up to five total.

  7. Click Continue.

When CC recipients receive the document

CC recipients receive a copy of the document when it is sent to the signing recipient. If the document goes through an approver route before reaching the signing recipient, CC recipients receive the document at the same time the signing recipient does — not when the approval process begins.

On bulk sends, CC recipients configured on the document are automatically included for every recipient in the send.

Remove CC recipients

  1. Go to Documents > Document Management.

  2. Select the document group and find the document.

  3. Click the menu ⋮ > Document Details.

  4. In the CC Recipients section, click the remove icon next to the CC recipient you want to remove.

  5. Click Save & Continue.

Note

Removing a CC recipient from the document details affects future sends only. CC recipients already notified on previously sent documents are not affected.
