Create metrics to create calculated fields used as KPIs. Determine the type of plan you want to use the metric in—Territories (Segments), Team, Products. The plan determines which type of entities the metrics can reference.

Create metrics
Go to Settings > Metrics.
Select the tab where you want the metric to apply: Segments, Teams, or Products.
Click Add.
Complete the following fields:
Field
Description
Name
Type a name for the metric.
Description
Type a brief description of the metric.
Prefix
Optional. Add a prefix symbol to represent the entity behind it. For example, for the open pipe (sales) metric, add a dollar sign.
Suffix
Optional. Add a suffix to represent the unit behind it. For example, If your metric is Revenue or ARR, add USD or k (for thousands); $500k or $500USD.
Is Currency
Optional. Select the checkbox to identify the metric value as a currency.
Is Timeseries
Optional. Select the checkbox to identify the metric as a timeseries type metric. The checkbox cleared identifies the metric as scalar.
Measures
Drag and drop measures from the list on the left.
Timeline
Drag and drop a date and time measure, if needed. This designates which date field will control the date toggle.
Filters
Drag and drop filter criteria. Date fields can’t be used in filters.
Click Save.
Update metric information
Note
The Name, Description, Prefix, and Suffix can be edited, if needed, but Currency, Timeseries, and Time Period cannot be changed.
In the Metrics tab, Find the metric from the appropriate tab that you want to edit.
Click on the field you want to edit and make changes, as needed.
Click Save.
View validation status details
Click on the status indicator to view details on the validation status. The following status indicators display in front of each metric row and specify the following:
All Ok symbol—no issues, metric is validate and can be used.
Warning symbol—problems pulling in results, metric cannot be validated at this time, but can be used.
Issues symbol—problems with metric, cannot be validated or used.
View metric details
From the metric row, click the down arrow to expand metric details.
Note
This displays the information configured in the Filter, Measure, and Field Used for Timeseries fields.
Click the up arrow the collapse the details panel.
Delete metrics
In the Metrics tab, Find the metric from the appropriate tab that you want to delete.
Click Delete.
In the Delete Confirmation window, type
DELETE.Click Confirm.
