Recalculate a target manually at any time, for both top-down and bottom-up targets, or turn on auto-recalculate so it updates itself whenever the data it depends on changes.
Note
Auto-recalculate is disabled by default. You can manually recalculate a target whether auto-recalculate is enabled or disabled.
When to recalculate
Recalculate manually when you need an immediate, one-time update — for example, after adjusting a target's goal, formula, or adjustments, and you want the new value reflected right away.
Turn on auto-recalculate when a target should stay current on its own — for example, a formula-based target that references another target, or a target built from territory or assignment data that changes often.
Once auto-recalculate is enabled, a target recalculates automatically when:
A referenced target's value changes.
An assignment or coverage change affects the target, such as a rep moving from one territory to another.
A formula input the target depends on is updated.
