Metrics are calculated data points that power your Fullcast GTM plans. Use them to balance territories in Smart Plan, track target performance, and monitor KPIs by adding them to the summary panel or pinning to dashboards. Most metrics you configure directly in Settings > Metrics; some configurations, such as ratio calculations and cross-object metrics, require a support ticket.
Create metrics
Go to Settings > Metrics.
Select the tab of the plan module where you want the metric to apply: Segments (Territories), Teams, or Products.

The objects that are available differ according to which plan module you select.

Complete the following fields; Some are text entry and others require you to drag and drop from the Entities on the left.
Field
Description
Name
Type a name for the metric.
Description
Type a brief description of the metric.
Prefix
Optional. Add a prefix symbol to represent the entity behind it. For example, for the open pipe (sales) metric, add a dollar sign.
Suffix
Optional. Add a suffix to represent the unit behind it. For example, If your metric is Revenue or ARR, add USD or k (for thousands); $500k or $500USD.
Is Currency
Optional. Check this to enable multi-currency support for the metric in widgets. When checked, the metric respects your Salesforce currency settings and displays values in the user's currency. If your Salesforce org does not use multi-currency, or if you do not need multi-currency display for this metric, you can leave this unchecked — even if the metric measures a dollar value.
Is Timeseries
Optional. Select the checkbox to enable timeseries tracking for this metric. See Metric types below for how this setting combines with the Timeline field to determine the metric's type and target compatibility.
Measures
Drag and drop a field from the list on the left. After adding a measure, click the dropdown arrow on the measure chip to select the aggregation type: Sum, Average, Count, Minimum, or Maximum.
Timeline
Drag and drop a date field to set the time dimension for this metric. Adding a Timeline field makes the metric a time period or timeseries type — see Metric types below.
Filters
Drag and drop filter criteria. Date fields can't be used in filters.
Click Save.
Metric configurations that require a support ticket
Some metric configurations are not available in the metric builder and must be requested via a support ticket:
Date-based filters — Date fields cannot be used in the Filters section. To scope a metric by date, add a date field to the Timeline field and apply the date range when viewing the metric in the summary panel or when configuring a target. For more complex date filtering requirements, submit a support ticket.
Calculations beyond Sum, Avg, Count, Min, and Max — The metric builder supports five aggregation types: Sum, Average, Count, Minimum, and Maximum. Ratios, percentages, weighted averages, and other formulas (for example, win rate = Closed Won ÷ Total Opportunities) are not supported in the UI and require a support ticket.
Cross-object calculations — Metrics that combine fields across multiple Salesforce objects require backend configuration and must be requested via a support ticket.
Metric types
A metric's type is determined by two things: whether Is Timeseries is checked, and whether a Timeline field is added. The type controls how data is displayed and which target data types the metric is compatible with.
Note
When selecting a metric to add to the summary panel or track progress in a target, an icon next to each metric name in the metric selector indicates the type.
Metric type | Is Timeseries | Timeline field | Target type compatibility | Symbol |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Scalar | Unchecked | None | Scalar |

Time period | Unchecked | Date field added | Scalar |

Timeseries | Checked | Date field added | Scalar, Timeseries |

Example configurations
The following examples show one configuration for each metric type. The Is Timeseries setting and Timeline field are the two settings that determine the type.
Metric name | Type | Is Timeseries | Measure | Timeline | Filters |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Open Opps | Scalar | Unchecked | Opportunities > Dimension > Identification Number (Count) | None | Stage Name NOT EQUALS Closed Won Stage Name NOT EQUALS Closed Lost |
Closed Won Revenue | Time Period | Unchecked | Opportunities > Measure > Amount (Sum) | Opportunities: Close Date | Stage Name EQUALS Closed Won |
Net New ARR | Timeseries | Checked | Opportunities: Amount (Sum) | Opportunities: Close Date | Stage Name EQUALS Closed Won Type EQUALS New Business |
