Card in Atrium: Pipeline Change card

Background on the Pipeline Change Card

Pipeline Change Article

This card represents the change that has occurred SINCE the initial timeframe at the top of the card for the pipeline value of opportunities that are set to close within the "closing" timeframe of the card that are owned by any of the teams or individuals included in the card people selector.

In this example, this Pipeline Change Card will reflect the change in pipeline that has occurred since the Beginning of the Quarter for opportunities with a close date within This Quarter.

How the Pipeline Change Card Handles Transferred Pipeline

Transferred Pipeline is the pipeline value of opportunities that were included in the "Starting" pipeline that is no longer owned by the teams or individuals included in the card's People Selector. There are a few different ways Atrium would count opportunities as "transferred."

The pipeline change shown is based on the total pipeline owned by any of the teams or individuals included in the card (as long as it meets the change and close date settings on the card). This means that if an opp is transferred within members of the card, that pipeline is still considered as "current" pipeline for the teams or individuals shown in the card.

For example: If Manager "Jane" is looking at a Pipeline Change card that shows their Team Total Since the beginning of this quarter for pipeline closing this quarter and one rep on their team transfers an opp to another member of Jane's team, this would NOT be considered transferred.  This is because this pipeline is STILL available to close for "Jane's Team Total" this quarter, so it is still included in the "Current Pipeline" column.

Scenarios where pipeline would be counted as Transferred:

  • The card is showing "Team Jane Team Total without Managers" and one rep on that team is promoted to a manager role while reporting to Jane.  Their remaining open pipeline with a close date of This Quarter would be considered "Transferred" because those opportunities are no longer considered as part of "Team Jane Team Total without Managers"
  • The card is showing "Team Jane Team Average" and one rep transfers an opp to a rep on a different team (that is not under Jane in the org chart), that is no longer considered part of "Team Jane Team Average"

What Opportunities Count as Transferred

The Transferred pipeline will include any opportunities that are included in the "Starting" pipeline that was owned by someone included in the teams or individuals included in the "people selector" in the card.

The pipeline value shown for those opportunities in the Transferred column will be the original pipeline value that was included in the Starting column.  This means that if the pipeline value increased or decreased BEFORE it was transferred, this opportunity would only show in Starting and Transferred.

If an opportunity was New since the starting time period and then was transferred, we would not show this opportunity in either column.
