# View coverage and capacity

View all the users on your plan that are placed in a role in a team or territory and the total number of users according to whether they are active or inactive, and what their role type is.

#### Before you begin

- The employee must have a [team or territory coverage assignment](/v1/docs/create-assignment-coverage#add-a-territory-or-team-assignment).

## View team or territory coverage

The coverage tab displays users who are actively holding a role in a specific team or territory.

1. Go to the appropriate module (**Teams**or **Territories**) **> Manage Coverage**.
2. Refer to the following for filter and view options:

  1. **Date**dropdown: Select a period of time to view the coverage from fiscal year, trailing, to date, this, last, next, or custom.
  2. **Quick Filter:**From the window, select options to filter by status, type, role, or other options.
  3. **View:** Select between a card view or table view.
  1. **Labels:**
    1. **Active**: the person is currently assigned to a given role.
    2. **Future**: the person will be assigned to that role on a set date.
    3. **Inherited**: the person has been assigned to a role at a higher-level territory.
  2. **Person’s name and role**
  3. **Start and end dates:**Displays the start and end dates for the person in that role.
  4. **Ramping indicator:**Hover over the icon to view ramp dates for the person.
  1. **Group by option:** Drag columns from the table to group the data by that column.
  2. **Search and sort:** Use the search field to filter out by search term and the sort option to sort data by ascending or descending alphabetical order.
  3. **Export all data:**downloads a `CSV` file of the table data.
  4. **Column chooser:**Select to open the column chooser then drag and drop columns between the table and the column chooser to customize your view of the data.

## View team or territory capacity

The capacity tab displays a summary of all the coverage in the current plan. It gives a global view of your resources, regardless of whether or where they are holding a role. Because capacity factors in productivity profiles, you can see the effective capacity of your resources.

1. Go to the appropriate module (**Teams**or **Territories**) **> Manage Coverage**.
2. Click the **Capacity**tab.
3. Refer to the following for filter and view options:

  3. **Download:** downloads a `CSV` file of the capacity data.

  2. **Role name and description**
  3. **Net Ramped Resource:**The effective capacity for the role.
  4. **Profiles:**The number of productivity or ramp profiles that exist for that role.
  5. **TBH**, **TBT**, and **TBR**: The number of each TBx coverage types that exists in the selected time period.
