# Troubleshoot mass update or clone assignments error

If there is an error updating or cloning assignments, an error icon temporarily displays:

1. Go to **Settings > Audit > Logs**.
2. Find the appropriate audit log entry with the following information:

| Error | Timestamp | Event | User Name | Status |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Mass update error | Date and time you received the error. | `assignments.massUpdate` | your username | `failed` |
| Clone assignment error | Date and time you received the error. | `assignments.clone` | your username | `failed` |
3. Use [audit log interpreter](/v1/docs/interpret-audit-events-and-error-traces#interpret-audit-log-events) to help troubleshoot the error.
