Targets v2 provides the same data as the legacy targets module with an upgrade to the process flow and UI.

Filter dropdowns to filter the targets that display on the main page based on the selections.
Displays the title and the first assigned role for the target.
Tags that display the metric, fiscal year, target type (top down or bottom up), and auto recalculation (enabled or disabled) configured for the target.

Schedule profiles
Schedules define the seasonality for quota distribution. You can create your own schedule profiles and save them as templates to reuse in different targets or use the pre-configured schedule profiles.
Auto Recalculation
You can enable auto recalculation on new and existing top down or bottom up targets. Recalculation happens asynchronously in a background job queue and the time to auto recalculate depends on the amount of targets included (anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes)—it will not slow down the UI or block other work. Check the audit log to confirm a recalculation completed.
Tip
Enable auto recalculation on formula targets to keep them in sync with changes in the GTM plan. When targets and quotas are released, disable the auto recalculation on the targets to prevent unwanted updates.
By default, auto recalculation is disabled. When enabled, the system monitors for the following changes to targets and then recalculates impacted targets based on those changes:
Referenced target value changes
When a formula target references another target and that target's value changes, all dependent targets are automatically queued for recalculation.
For example: An Enterprise AE Quota target is a formula that adds Base Quota + Overlay Quota. When Base Quota is updated from $800K to $900K, the Enterprise AE Quota target recalculates automatically.
Target adjustment changes
When a target adjustment (one-time add, override, and so on) is created, updated, or deleted on a referenced target, all dependent formula targets are queued for recalculation.
For example: A manager adds a $20K manual uplift adjustment to a rep's Q2 quota. Any formula target referencing that quota detects the adjustment and recalculates.
Metric-based dependency changes
When a formula target uses a metric (Sum of ARR, Number of Accounts, or Sum of Booking Potential) the target will automatically recalculate when any of the following events occur:
An account, person, or product changes nodes
A data import job completes
For example: A Segment Quota target is built on a formula using Sum of ARR in Territory. When accounts are remapped to a different territory during a realignment, the Segment Quota auto-recalculates to reflect the new ARR in that territory.
Assignment changes
When a rep's assignment is created, deleted, or modified, any targets tied to that rep or territory are automatically queued for recalculation. This includes:
Adding a new assignment
Removing an existing assignment
Changing the assignment's start or end date
Swapping or toggling the ramp profile on the assignment
For example:
A new AE is assigned to the West territory starting 01 May. Any quota targets referencing headcount or that use a ramp schedule in that territory automatically recalculate to account for the new rep.
An AE's start date is pushed back one month. Their ramped quota target recalculates automatically, reducing their Q2 target to reflect one fewer month of ramp.
Ramp profile definition changes
When the percentage breakdown of a ramp profile is updated (month 1 changes from 50% to 75%) and the Recalculate Ramp Profile action is confirmed, the system identifies every target referencing that ramp profile and queues them all for recalculation.
For example: The Senior AE Ramp profile is updated to accelerate month 2 from 75% to 90%. After confirming the recalculation, all quota targets using the Senior AE Ramp profile automatically update to reflect the new percentages for every rep on that profile.
