This article is for Revenue Operations (RevOps) admins, sales managers, and anyone tracing team placement, such as for a commissions or coverage question. > [!NOTE] > **Note:** Team history and position history are two different things. The **History** tab covers where a person has sat in the team hierarchy. The **Positions** tab is a separate feature that tracks the roles a person has held and their ramp over time. For role and ramp history, use the **Positions** tab instead. ## Before you begin - An administrator must have set a **Linked Field** for **Employees** so the employee grid has a clickable link into the details page. To do this: - Navigate to **Settings > Application Settings > Default Fields > Details Pages > Employees.** - In the **Linked Field** dropdown, select the people field that will be clicked to open the details page. - Open the plan where you want to trace the person’s history. ## Open a person's history 1. From the **Teams** tile, click **Team Organization** to open the employee grid. 2. In the grid, click the person's linked field — the column your administrator set as the **Linked Field** — to open their details page. 3. Select the **History** tab. ![GIF demonstrating how to access the person history page.](https://cdn.document360.io/369efcf7-66f9-4f6b-9d45-9ca24a5b06cf/Images/Documentation/person history.gif) ## Read the history timeline The **History** tab shows one timeline for the person, grouped by day. Each row is a placement event — a point where the person was created in, moved between, or removed from a team node. The **Node** column is where the person sat; where they have been is the trail of nodes down the timeline. Each row includes these columns: - **Date (UTC)** and **Time (UTC)** — when the event happened. All times are shown in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). - **Source** — where the entry comes from: **Current**, **Placement**, **Proposed**, or **Audit**. - **Event** — what happened, such as **Created**, **Moved**, **Removed**, **Soft-deleted**, or **Reactivated**. - **Reason** — why the change occurred. - **Description** — a plain-language sentence describing the event. - **User** — who committed or proposed the change. - **Node** — the team node the person was placed in or moved to or from. The **Status** column is available from the column chooser but hidden by default. Two rows are pinned so you always see the person's live state: - A row tagged **Current** is the person's current committed placement. - A row tagged **Proposed** appears only when there is a pending, uncommitted move. It shows where the person is set to go once the move is committed. ## Change the time range and add detail - Use the **Period** control to change the range. The presets are **30 days**, **90 days**, **6 months**, **12 months**, and **Custom**. The default is 30 days. If the person has no events in the selected range, the tab shows that there is no recorded history for that period — widen the range to see older events. - Turn on **Include Audit Entries** to merge audit-log detail into the timeline. This toggle is off by default. It is limited to users with audit access; if you do not have it, the tab shows placement history only and tells you audit entries are unavailable. - Select the information icon on any row to open a panel with the full detail for that event — the node path, the from and to nodes, the reason, and who proposed and committed it. - Export the timeline to keep a copy outside Fullcast. ## Related - [Move People in Teams](/move-people-in-teams.md) - [Off-board people in teams](/off-board-people-in-teams.md) - [Create Teams Using Bucket Values](/create-teams-using-bucket-values.md)
