Map Chart

The map chart displays the performance of territories based on selected metrics. Hover over the territory to see the values of your selected metric.

Design a map chart

  1. Create a report.

  2. In the chart designer, select Map Chart from the right menu.

  3. In the Chart Title field, type a unique name for the chart.

    Note

    If you don’t provide a name, the chart will populate a name based on selected dimensions and measures.

  4. Configure the following fields:

    Measures

    Measures define a metric on the map.

    1. From the Entities menu on the left, search for measures.

    2. Drag and drop measures to the Measures field.

    3. Optional. Customize the measures.

      Note

      You can only plot one measure for map charts.

    Country

    Select the country you want to display the data on.

    1. From the Country dropdown, select a country.

    Level

    Select the level you want to view the metrics on based on the country you selected (for the United States, select country, state, or postal code level).

    1. From Level dropdown, select the level based on the country you selected.

    2. Optional. Select the checkbox for Lock level to lock the heatmap’s level to the level you selected (if the selected level is state, the user cannot zoom into other levels that are the 2-code postal codes or 5-code postal codes).

    Filters (optional)

    Add criteria to customize the filters for the data:

    1. From the Entities menu on the left, search for dimensions and measures.

    2. Drag and drop dimensions and measures to the Filters field.

    3. In the Operator field, select the condition to filter the data by.

    4. In the Value field, add the value to filter the data by.

  5. Click Plot.
