# Create a dashboard

Dashboards are customizable pages where you can compile multiple charts and reports for quick visualization.

## Before you begin

- [Create folders](/v1/docs/create-folders) to organize your dashboards.

## Create a dashboard

1. Go to **Reports.**
2. Click the **New > Dashboard**.
3. In the **Add New Dashboard** window, complete the following fields:

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **Name** | Type a name for the dashboard. |
| **Data Source** | From the dropdown, select the core object to build your reports from. > [!NOTE] > Note > > Once you create the dashboard, you cannot change the data source. |
| **Folder** | Select the folder for your dashboard. |
| **Categories** | From the dropdown, select existing categories or type in new categories and press `Enter`. |
| **Description** | Type a description of the dashboard. |
| **Allow Personalization** | Optional. Select the checkbox to allow users to change the view of their charts. |
4. Click **Save & Continue**.
