# Configure user permissions

User permissions refers to the user’s access in Fullcast and what settings they are allowed to manage.

## Permission types

There are four permission types configured in Fullcast you can designate to users which allow specific levels of access:

> [!NOTE]
> Note
>
> Role Based Access User, Sys Admin, and Reporting users can be given additional read and write permissions if the user is given role based assignments. Access depends on the role to which the user is assigned.

| Permission type | Access |
| --- | --- |
| **Role Based Access User** | Read and write access depends on the roles to which the user is assigned. Refer to [role permissions](/v1/docs/viewing-and-managing-roles#add-information-and-configure-permissions) for more information. |
| **Tenant Admin** | Read and write access to all modules and settings in Fullcast. |
| **Sys Admin** | Read and write access to all tenant settings. Can only designate user permissions for **Reporting**and **Role Based Access User**. > [!NOTE] > Note > > Sys admin users cannot designate other users as sys admins or tenant admins. |
| **Reporting** | View only access to everything in the tenant platform. Read and write access to view and create custom reports. |
