After a commissions event takes place, the compensation plan calculates the commission individuals received based on configured quotas. You can configure multiple aspects of compensation—such as base rates, accelerators, kickers, and so on—from a single plan to ensure all impacted individuals are compensated for their contribution in a commissions event.
Calculations and formulas
You can create calculations within a compensation plan to adjust raw data values before applying them to commission components or after commission components are calculated. This provides flexibility for the configuration of complex rules.
Activation and execution
Once defined, active compensation plans can be run on a schedule (monthly pay periods) or ad-hoc. When run on a schedule, all relevant compensation plans will execute and calculate commission values.
Validate commissions
After a commissions plan is run, commissions are calculated against that plan and are available to view in the Commissions Ledger. Use the commissions ledger to validate the commissions calculations prior to payment.
Reporting
Build and customize reports on commissions to view compensation payout over time to specific roles or individuals. These reports can be saved and exported as needed for your individual business needs.
