# Commit commissions

Commit ledger entries to prepare the balance for payout processing, such as when you manually send the data to a payroll system. Once committed, transactions are immutable and cannot be changed, edited, or deleted, and any offsets must be handled with a [new adjustment entry](/plan-and-pay/docs/commissions-ledger-adjustments#add-a-new-ledger-entry). You can commit one entry at a time or multiple entries at the same time.

## Commit individual ledger entries

1. Go to **Commissions > Commissions Ledger**.
2. Find the entry you want to commit.
3. Click the **menu ⋮ > Commit**.
4. In the confirmation window, type `COMMIT`.
5. Click **Commit**.

## Commit multiple ledger entries

1. Go to **Commissions > Commissions Ledger**.
2. Select the checkbox for the entries you want to commit.
3. Click **Actions > Commit**.
4. In the confirmation window, type `COMMIT`.
5. Click **Commit**.
