Viewing and Managing Roles

This article provides information and direction regarding Roles. 


Accessing Roles 

The Roles tile is located on the home screen of a Plan.
  1. Access your Fullcast instance and switch plans if applicable. 
  2. Click Manage Roles on the Roles tile. 

Navigating the Roles Page

The Roles themselves are organized by cards, each card containing pertinent information about that role.




  1. Role Status: Identifies if the role is active or not. 
  2. Role Title: Identifies the role type title.
  3. Net Ramped Resource: The effective capacity you have of that role type. This number reflects the headcount of that role count, factoring in any ramp schedules. 
  4. Productivity Profile: The number of different productivity profiles you have for a role type. 
  5. Temporary Assignments: The number of active temporary assignments (TBT, TBH, and TBR) that you have for a role type.

After you have added roles to your plan, you may need to filter and sort your view to hone in on specific roles. You can view by fiscal year, trailing date, to date, this, last, next, and custom. 


Filter your roles by clicking the quick filter button and adjusting the parameters as necessary and clicking Filter. 

Managing Roles

Create a Role

  1. Access your Fullcast instance and switch plans if applicable. 
  2. Click Manage Roles on the Roles tile. 
  3. On the Roles landing page, click the Add Roles. 
  4. Complete the required information and click Save. 

Edit a Role

  1. Access your Fullcast instance and switch plans if applicable. 
  2. Click Manage Roles on the Roles tile. 
  3. Locate the applicable role, click the More Options icon (three vertical dots), and select Edit from the dropdown menu. 
  4. Update the Information and Permissions as applicable and click Save. 

Retire a Role

  1. Access your Fullcast instance and switch plans if applicable. 
  2. Click Manage Roles on the Roles tile. 
  3. Locate the applicable role, click the More Options icon (three vertical dots), and select Retire.

Export

Download a spreadsheet of the data displayed in the Roles Designer page.

  1. From the Roles page, click the download icon. 
  2. Identify the location to store this file if applicable. 

Audit Logs

Logs - show changes that have been made, such as creating and deleting roles. 

  1. From the Roles page, click the Audit icon (refresh button). 
  2. On the Logs tab, click the appropriate time frame for the audit: 6 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month, or Custom. 
  3. The logs will appear if available.
