How to Use Basic Charts

  1. Select Customer Segments in Territory Design.
  2. Select the node from your hierarchy on which you want to create the chart.
  3. On the top right corner, click on the icon named Chart View
  4. On the panel that opens in the right-hand corner, click on the Basic Chart.
  5. Fill the Chart Title text box with a name for the chart. (If the name is not provided, the chart will create the name using the dimensions and measures selected in the following steps)
  6. Now select the Entities for which you need to plot the graph. If you want it for Accounts, click on accounts and  select the Dimensions and Measures. If you want it for Territory, Click on territory and decide upon the dimensions and measures.
  7. Dimension is plotted in the X-Axis. Drag and drop the Dimension that you want to plot in the dimension tab. 
  8. Measure is plotted in the Y-Axis. Drag and drop the Measures that you want to plot in the Measures tab.
  9. The maximum limit for the bars to be shown in the graph is 1000. If you want to see only limited number of bars you can the change the value according to your choice. 
  10. Drag and drop timeline/time period field if required.
  11. You can further create specific report, if needed, by providing appropriate filter conditions.  

The above example chart gives you a report about the Annual revenue of the different Fullcast industry type available.  

Note

For a basic chart only one dimension could be plotted against a measure. There is no possibility of selecting multiple dimensions in a basic chart

Viewing the plotted graph

The graph that is plotted can be viewed with the help of different button options available on the top right corner of the graph. 

1. You can see the appropriate values by hovering around the graphs. You can make the value get displayed in the graph by choosing the fixed level button available in the top right corner. 

2. You can plot the graph for the required hierarchy level by choosing the appropriate option.

3. You can also get the graph displayed as a table format by clicking the table button. 

4. You can pin the graph to the dashboard and easy viewing and comparison with other charts. Below are the steps to pin the graph to the dashboard. 

  • Click on the Pin Chart button.
  • The screen that pops up will ask for the Decision center in which the graph has to be pinned. Pick your choice from the dropdown menu and confirm.
  • Now you can see the chart pinned in the Rhythm dashboard. Click on Rhythm and select the dashboard to which you have pinned the graph  and now you can view the chart.

  • You can remove the chart from the dashboard by clicking on the three dot button and selecting the remove option. 

5. You can refresh, edit and download the chart by clicking the appropriate options available.
